Frequently Asked Questions

What Is A Pegasus Granite Sink?
This sinks material consists of up to 80% natural granite stone chemically polymerized with resin. It's resistant to scratching, chipping and staining. Pegasus is a brand name marketed by The Home Depot and currently manufactured in the UK and in Canada.

What Styles And Colors Are Available?
Bar sinks, stainless steel kitchen sinks, offset double bowls, single bowls, and vessels. You can mount them above or below your countertop. The colors range from earthy beige to deep charcoal black.

How Do I Clean My Pegasus Granite Sink?
Use a non abrasive cleaner such as Soft scrub , Bar Keepers Friend or plain baking soda. Eliminate water spots and soap build up by rinsing well and then drying your sink with a soft cloth after each use.

Can I Set A Hot Pot In My Sink?
According to the Care & Maintenance Instructions from Pegasus: "Under normal conditions, yes (up to 392 degrees Fahrenheit) - a hot pot from the stove placed directly in the sink will not harm it." No pressure cookers, deep fryers, etc.

Should I Seal My Sink?
The Home Depot recommends not sealing these composite granite sinks. Always read the specific instructions that come with your sink.

Will My Sink Stain?

  • Adhesive Labels: Acetone.
  • Calcium Deposits (white ring around the bottom of your sink): Lime-A-Way.
