Lapidus Granite Kitchen Pictures

White Bear Lake, Minnesota

Lapidus Granite is also known by some as Lapidus Lakes Granite, Juparana Lapidus, or Egeo.

This beautiful natural stone is quarried in Brazil. It's exotic, warm, sexy and earthy. There are usually highlights of blue throughout with contrasting colors of browns, blacks, creams, caramels, and golds along with a few big fat burgundy garnets.

An ogee edge runs along the entire length of the countertop while lighting beneath the cabinets help to highlight this exotic stone. Notice the stylish under hung sink. The granite is cut back to allow room for the soap dispenser to sit directly on and above the sink. Sometimes the little things that can be done with granite amaze me.

The countertop height peninsula provides plenty of additional work space. There is an ogee edge with a full bull nose build up. This build up is quite a bit different than the build up we showed you earlier in the picture gallery. It's a little bit fancier and a lot more work!

This one's an attention getter which gives the illusion of a much thicker AND wider piece of stone.

The corbels, four inch granite backsplash, and neutral color scheme pull this kitchen together beautifully. The warm wood cabinets really compliment the stone and warm up the kitchen. I haven't seen Lapidus with white cabinets yet - I wonder if the white cabinets would make this stone pop like it makes Vyara granite pop?

Lapidus is an expensive stone which varies in pattern from slab to slab. Definitely communicate clearly with your fabricator before he starts cutting! Should you seal it? Yep, unless you're gonna baby it make sure to apply a good quality sealer. It will keep this beauty stain free!
